Another sign that Spring is getting closer is the Northeast Motorcycle Expo. I wanted to get Brenda to try and sit on a bunch of different bikes, but she keeps gravitating to ones with three wheels??
I sat on quite a few and found it interesting that I could sit on the Yamaha FJ-09 with a seat height of 33.3-33.9″ quite comfortably, but the Ducati Multistrada 1200s with a seat height of 32.5-33.3″ I couldn’t even get upright for fear of tipping over.
The other thing I got to try out was Honda’s riding simulator. http://powersports.honda.com/experience/articles/090111c080a4cfb0.aspx I wasn’t too happy with my results, but didn’t find it all that realistic either since you couldn’t turn your head to look around and there was no feel to the brakes. They were only letting licensed riders try it out, so Brenda did not get a chance to test her skills…
The only thing I bought at the show was some aluminum & metal polish that I plan to try out on the GS650L from Biker Wax. http://www.bikerwax.com/
It is nice to deal one on one with the person that created the products and owns the company. Hopefully it works well so that I can try more of his products.
